Solar Concentrating Facilities
The solar concentrating research facilities at PSI and at ETH-Zurich offer state-of-the-art experimental platforms for developing the chemical reactor technology aimed at:
- the production of solar fuels (e.g. hydrogen)
- the processing of energy-intensive material commodities (e.g. lime, metals), and
- testing advanced ceramic materials at temperatures up to 3000 K under intense radiation fluxes and controlled atmospheres.
